Yee Wan read law at the university of Sheffield, UK, and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Laws degree, Upper Second Class Honours. She subsequently obtained the Certificate of Legal Practice and completed her pupilage in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 2008, she was called to the Malaysian Bar. During her time in Malaysia, she was involved mainly in general civil litigation matters involving contractual claims, debt recovery, probate and administration and insolvency law.

Yee Wan is a registered foreign lawyer in Singapore and currently assists in corporate and commercial matters at Gateway, including the drafting and reviewing of various types of agreements, incorporation of companies and corporate secretarial work.

Yee Wan is fluent in English, Mandarin and Malay, and her ability to read, write and converse in several languages gives her an advantage in cross-border transactions, and helps her interact with clients from different backgrounds.
