Shu Yan graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) degree from the University of Southampton (United Kingdom, England) and is admitted as an Adovocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Shu Yan has experience in a wide spectrum of civil litigation and conveyancing transactions. She has been involved in civil litigation matters in the areas of family law, probate law, contract law, trade secret law, the law of tort, and insolvency and bankruptcy law. In addition, she has assisted in matters relating to Insurance Law and Work Injury Compensation for some of the largest insurance companies in Singapore and Malaysia. She has also assisted in several collective sales and mortgages of residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

Shu Yan now concentrates her practice on intellectual property and commercical litigation.
