Gateway Law was incorporated and formed through a strategic merger with the local practice of Max Ng & Co on 15 March 2006. The name Gateway is symbolic of the firm’s desire to be a gateway to success for all its clients. Our local as well as international clients will find the firm their gateway to Asia as we protect and enhance their legal and commercial interests in the region.

The formation of Gateway Law is an important milestone, and represents our desire to service our clients in a more effective manner. Gateway Law has offices, people and associated offices in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and in other South East Asian countries, and by that association is able to leverage on the numerous associates, patent attorneys, trade mark paralegals and professionals within the group. Together, our combined presence covers the leading cities in Asia and our team will continue to provide you the same personalised and professional legal services that you have come to expect from us over the years.

The firm’s focus will continue to be on all legal aspects of Intellectual Property rights, including anti-counterfeiting, enforcement, licensing, franchising and other forms of commercialisation, in addition to its other areas of specialities such as technology and communications, media and entertainment law.
